Doing a first project for a potentially large new client is bound to make anyone a little nervous. When the job is shooting photos of their owner's homes, it doesn't help.

I had received an email from Kari Mickits, corporate communications manager for AMX, asking if I "might know of an architectural-style photographer" to shoot a condominium and yacht owned by the Duchossois family, who had purchased AMX in 2005. She needed someone who could show the AV and control systems to their best advantage. Well, yes I did know someone...I could do the work myself.
