Crestron Wireless Technology Grows If you haven't looked closely at the new Crestron wireless products, it's time. It's not just that the new panels are smaller and lighter, that they transmit faster, are more powerful, or that they have a number of great new features, though those are all good reasons. It's because your customers have come to expect the convenience of wireless in everything they do. They use wireless phones, wireless networks, wireless remotes for their TVs, stereos, ceiling fans, garage doors, and even to start their cars. If you're not offering them the coolest wireless controls ever for their boardrooms and training centers, they're bound to wonder why. Crestron infiNET(tm) Lighting Controls If you're like most AV consultants, chances are you don't spec many lighting systems. Crestron's new infiNET Dimmer System can change that. We are currently shipping a complete line of wireless lighting controls, including single and four-button switches and dimmers, plus wireless gateways. We also recently introduced a freestanding dimmer module designed to sit on the floor, providing dimming control of a conventional floor lamp or table lamp and as well a wireless networked thermostat. Crestron's infiNET products offer a tremendous improvement over traditional lighting controls for remodeling projects and retrofits, because they eliminate the need for opening walls or pulling cable. To install, you simply remove the existing wall switches or conventional wired thermostat and drop in the infiNET product. The opportunity for new design work is large. There's a lot of attention going to better lighting controls because of the need to build energy-efficient "green" buildings. Still, architects and electrical contractors normally spec the same dimming systems from the same, very large lighting supplier. With infiNET, you can offer them a better system with more features that's easier to interface with the AV and that's far less costly to install. infiNET can make you a hero with everyone on the project, and you'll make more money, too. Best of all, you don't even have to be a lighting expert to make it happen. Crestron offers extensive design services to help you get started.
